#1. Are you by any chance using a TILT lens for this shot?

John, Thanks for the feedback. I have several more frames but I probably won't post them up. :-| I'll explain the reasoning later.

Regarding #3, that video was pretty funny. There have long been reports of people putting a child's toy in disaster scenes for photo opportunities. I'm starting to think that a lot of them are planted because I had given up looking for one when I found Mickey.

I know #2 isn't the shot that would grab most folks first but the more I looked at it the more I liked it. I wonder how it would have looked if I had used a small sensor camera? Would the nearly infinite DOF helped bring it home or would the added detail cluttered the shot?

#2 and #5 are my favorites - no distractions from other visitors (unavoidable usually, I understand), beautiful shapes and lovely B&W conversion giving a good range of contrast.

#1 is a superb angle for that car - wish you could clear the room first! :)

Very nice. Also loving the way you've used the DoF on that lens.

Scary stuff; I don't envy them for one moment :-(

Regarding #3 - you should watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLZ1LT0kd-4

#2 is probably the most powerful for me, given that I know the context for what's going on - having to remove everything from the house must just be devastating.

Thanks Mike! Yea the Sigma lens on the 5D rocks once you finally understand it's DOF is RAZOR thin at F1.4 to F2. In fact it seems to be thinner than most and it has ZERO tolerance for error. Also, it is picky at focusing distance. Wide open it seems sharp at certain distances and soft at others. What is nice is that when it is soft its a flattering soft. In summary it is a lens that is HEAVY in personality.

I like those colors in these. The skin tones look good too... I'm talking about Roz's hands, though I don't doubt the toad's are nice too! ;-)

Love the bokeh you're getting from that Sigma. Nice work keeping the toad's eyes in focus and using the DOF.

Man that blue and white Ferrari is beautiful. :-) I love classic Ferraris! That said the 2nd, 4th and 5th frames are my favorite. I love how the picture of the Porsche has that abandoned feel to it.
